This is how I discovered the Innocence Mission. The first song I heard was the Brothers Williams. I thought : " what a voice she has". Never heard such a voice before. Pure magic. And I think I'm still in love with this song, probably because of the shock it was at the time. I hope a lot of people come across the Innocence Mission in their life.

Finally got around to buying this EP, and very pleased I did. Love Karen Peris’s artwork and have this cover framed alongside some others. Really like all the songs, and it’s particularly good to hear the intimate reworking of Snow. These are songs that perfectly convey the beauty, joy and also sadness of winter (and life). I find their songs so tender, intimate and spiritual. The Innocence Mission have become my favourite band over the years.

I've had Karen's (and Don's!) beautiful words and melodies with me during the last two decades of my life journey, a companion I return to when nothing else quite fits. The elevation of the rote; the spirituality of the pedestrian; the constant reach towards gratitude, joy, and connection. We are all blessed to have Karen's voice in the world, and this contribution to her body of work is a transcendent one. Seeing her clear joy when she plays these songs elevates them to the heavens!
